I don't want to forget the important little moments that make my life sooo sweet. So I thought I'd share some of my favorite "little things" happening right now.
4 years, 3 months, 23 days young....
Still kisses me good-bye at preschool drop off
Randomly saying "Mama I love you"
Wanting to help out with dinner and setting the table without being asked
Remembering to be polite without being reminded
Wants me to watch cartoons with him
Loosing his books and made up story before bed are by far the worst punishment EVA
Catching him laying on his belly in his room zooming cars around and narrating voices like a book. "Get out of my way! Said the Green Truck" (makes me giggle)
Running around the house shouting some sort of Super hero talk...
Turning on some "Crunchery" music and him sayin "Mama check out my moves"
Tucking him in at night knowing he's going to sleep all night (FINALLY)
Finding him on the couch in the morning curled up under a blanket waiting for me and Ben to wake up. He used to come wake me up at 5:30am...
When he cant stop making funny faces while trying to brush his teeth
His love for learning... currently he's learning a new letter and it's sound each week at school... and randomly he'll say something like "Tu Tu Tractor... Tractor starts with T" He's mine so I think he's amazing, but sometimes he really knocks mom's socks off!
Watching him use his imagination lots more often...
His love for soccer.... (for being a shy guy...he's sure competitive)
Being asked for like the 5th time and at total random times... "Why can somethings bigger than me float and I can't with out my life vest on?" (REALLY!!??)
Watching him make good choices.... (drawing on his face at preschool was not one of these said "good choices")
Him repeating things I'd rather not hear him repeat.... (sometimes it is just sooooo funny!) Example: Mama-- "Jeromy turn that music down it's almost bed time and I don't want the boys to get all jacked up"... Minutes later.... "Look mom I'm getting all jacked up" as he dances across the living room... (My bad...)
On the way home from school he always tells me he's not going to take a nap when we get home. He climbs in bed and passes out within minutes...
Watching you ride your pedal bike after only a couple tries... and riding like a pro
Your unconditional love for me.... even when we've had a rough day
There's so much more.... but after getting up for the 3rd time to satisfy the "Mama I'm hungry" I can't think of anything more to add...
Colten:(Aka Boo-kins, Boo Boo, Coco) I love you from our house to outer space...(another one-liner he uses...that I love!!)

You're *occasional* need for a full nights sleep...
How you grab your blankie and binky before I can grab you out of your crib
How you run like a crazy man and squawk all over the house
How you giggle when I chase you
How you stand at the top of a hill and hold your hand up saying "ugh ugh" til I come hold your hand (wow writing that suddenly made me tear up... sighhhh)
How you LOVE being outside... boy this winter is going to be interesting
Watching you play in the sandbox... like your at the beach
Feeling your tight hold on my arm EVERYtime I hold you... (I'm sure this is just a survival mechanism.... but it sure feels sweet, havin a little person hold on to you)
The heart warming sight of you giving Buddy loves....
Blowing kisses for the first time was the sweetest thing eva...
Your outrageous excitement to see the cows in our pasture
Pretending to smell flowers when they are many many feet away
Your little stink face when I tell you "No"
Watching you cruse around on your own legs.... my back is REALLY lovin this...
Your love for wagon rides... glad we started this so young
Watching you help Papa work on stuff...
Chasing your little buns around after bath time has become quite the evening ritual...
Grabbin you out of your car seat when you're sleepin and havin you snuggle into my shoulder for the walk to your bed...
Benjamin (AKA: Ben, Bubba, Bubba-lou, Bubbers) You have been such a ray of sunshine in our little family...
I am ever sooooo blessed....... more blessed than I deserve.
May my boys know how much they are loved and how lucky I feel to hear them call ME mom (or Mama). May I never take for granted these sweet precious moments I'm experiencing each and every day.
And......
May I remember these sweet things at 3pm when both boys refuse to take a nap, at 3am when someone cant get back to sleep without being tucked back in, when someone wont eat their dinner, and when I think I can't possibly survive until bedtime...
Nothing can compare to being a Mom....
This is the best thing ever!!! Kudos Kristi you did an amazing job.....made me tear up. You are blessed...as all moms in my opinion are!! But I must say that your children are blessed to have such a great mom as YOU!!!! God Bless Your Family!!! <3
