A bit of November to remember... School fun, fieldtrip and some new housewares...

A little fall crafting...

Ben and Glue... be scared be very scared!

He actually didn't enjoy this craft much... a bit to tedious for him... but he finished it anyways!

Ben's turned out great... right!
Thankfully I captured Ben's masterpiece before he very quickly removed all his glued on beans... little turkey!

We finally broke down and bought ourselves a tablet... nothing fancy, just reasonable and totally perfect for skyping with "Bobbie" (grandma) who resides a couple states away now...*tear

Colten was getting a bedtime story from Bobbie, he thought this was pretty amazing!  As did I, goodness who knew technology can be so heart warming!

We were lucky enough to be invited on a fabulous fieldtrip with our
Homeschool Co-op to Northwest Trek... I was able to convince Jeromy (which wasn't tough) to come with us, as there was no way I was going to chase 2 kids around and have it be a stressful experience.  It was an early morning but totally worth it... we had a great time!  It felt like our group had the whole place to our selves, we even witnessed feeding time for many of the animals!  The tram ride was awesome and carefree thanks to two worn out kiddos.  We can't wait to visit this place again!

Of course the little soccer guys wasted no time standing around in the parking lot... an aggressive scrimmage was in order after all that sitting in the car!

Too cute!
Apparently the kids weren't supposed to be climbing on the moose but really how do you tell the BOYS that...

Barn owls..... beautiful and creepy creatures!

I totally think this is a better location for black bears!... (my driveway...not so much)

Great picture taking... I know! haha!  This fisher was soooo stinkin cute!

A snoozing grizzly!

Black bear paw comparison...

Grizzly comparison... YIKES!

Snowy Owls!  Gorgeous!

Beavers are awesome!

Badger... The handler was attempting to feed her and she was acting quite nervous (the badger) so we left so she could eat.

A skunk..

Yep this is what waiting for the tram looks like!!

Big horn sheep!

Hey... don't judge, we were moving!  besides I know you really just wanted a detailed picture of the inside of the tram... right?!  Who cares about the amazing mountain goat outside!

Rut season... made for an interesting tour!

Someone really loved the tour...

This ones a classic!!!

Ben is in awe....

Ben says "toad in woodshed"
Yep just like the one that lives in our woodshed!

Wow!

That completes our trip to Northwest Trek!  We'll totally be returning!
Next on the agenda was a visit to IKEA!!! we were so close we just couldn't resist!
Super excited about my new school room bookcase and new dining room light... The boys have been busy...

Ikea furniture building... in the nude of course!

Sorry didn't think to get a before shot... but isn't she a bute?
The 70's were such a stranger era for home décor!
Goodbye horribly hideous light fixture... may you enjoy your new home in the garage.

Ahhhh thank you Ikea... much better!
and thank you to my very own extremely handy husband...
