Our Fabulous Fourth!!!

I love love love our little Independence Day each year...
So simple and fun...

Always start your Fourth of July morning hunting fire ants...
Pants optional but highly recommended!

Who invited this guy?

A celebration of Freedom, means I'm free to eat as much of the last jar of Cowboy Candy as I please right?

Bre, we better plan on canning some more before baby gets here.... there may not be time for canning for a while!!

Our second huckleberry hunt was much more successful... a perfect holiday treat!

What else to do on the Fourth?  Drive to home depot for a new charcoal grill... and have two little monkey help you assemble it!

So Ben and his entrepreneur brother... decided to sell wild blackberries...
Notice the sign they made.... Black Berry 1 cent each
I was solicited while working in the garden, I told him I would grab my wallet when I was done weeding... well when I was done, inflation happened and now berries were up to $2 each... I told him nice try and gave him a quarter!

Had to wish the babes a happy fourth!

Ben says I owe him a lot of monies cuz he picked a bunch...

Our "Feast of the Fourth" was amazin!

Local grass fed beef, grilled mushrooms and onions, cowboy candy...
Corn on the cob, lettuce from the garden, and roasted brussel sprouts!!

Always work to be done... even on a holiday!

Gotta make some chicken food!

Ok now it's time for some fun!

Parachute guy!!

Colten caught it!!! YEAH BUDDY!

Mama and her firework lovin buddy!

Our creepy faces!

Where'd Papa go!

Lighting some smoke balls...

ewww.... ahhhhh...

Instantly taken back to my childhood...

watching my boys throw snap rocks...

So much fun he can't contain himself!  Pink ear protection helps too!

My little leg clinger for the evening!
Mom's love this stuff...(but shhhh don't tell anyone!)

Cool a smoke ring!

While waitin for it to get a little darker... we went in for EPIC Independence Day Ice Cream Sundaes!

I totally freaked when I set the bowls in front of them and glanced at the clock.....
ICE CREAM at 9:30.... HOLY SUGER RUSH Batman!
But I took a deep breath and remembered that it was a special night!

Me and my favorite explosives handler...

I just told him how much the Non GMO Marshmallows were...

Ok the run down...
Chocolate and Vanilla Breyers
Homemade Nutella/Coconut oil "Magic Shell"
Melted Marshmallows
Gluten free Graham cracker crumbs
and mini chocolate chips

Happy 4th pancreas!

Ok time to blow some stuff up!

Only in Western Wa do you wear a snow hat on the 4th!

It's soooooo pretty!

Lovin it!

Another fun filled 4th down in the books.  No one lost any fingers, no forests burned down, no chickens keeled over in the coop, I'd say it was pretty darn successful!
Love the simple, fun, makes you feel like a kid kind of days.
Now if only they still made the sparklers that went all the way to the end...
