Our morning started like any other Monday.... Coffee, Breakfast, more breakfast, a snack (if you have boys you will understand) then our usual trip down to say good morning to Lula and Two, and feed our lil fishes in the water trough.
We've only lost one sooo far, so we're not doin too bad...
I know it's super silly, but if you're a full time stay at home mom things like this would really excite you too....

Something extremely disgusting that we found.. we still don't know what is going on here with these two slugs... Why do boys have to think stuff like this is so "Totally Awesome!" ?????
Ok so is there really anything better than picking your blackberries in your Pjs..... nope I don't think so either! That's exactly what Colten and I did after Ben went down for his morning nap....
I wasn't really expecting to find as many "ready to pick" as we did... I was having a ball... the sun shinnin, the cows coming over for a visit, berries starting to fill my container.... Life was really at it's best right then...

Ok so back to those berries.......
Yep that's right.... Betty Crocker in da House! I'm usually a store bought crust kinda girl... but I've never done store bought with hand picked berries... just doesn't seem right to me... So I rolled up my sleeves and waited until the hubby got home.... cuz I'm not about to get interrupted while working on a masterpiece! So isn't this just the most beautiful sight... a pie coolin on the window sill... I'm thinkin YES!
What goes best with Homemade Blackberry Pie.... Well Vanilla Bean Elevated Ice Cream of Course.... Way to keep it local hubby!

Yum! We scored on the blackberries this weekend, too. And totally wasn't expecting to find many.... but my parent's driveway bush was totally loaded. Your pie looks delicious! Way to go!
