LoVe.... 12 Years in the making

Wow October 18th... the day it all started... well just officially.  You see I would say the start of this relationship started out long before Oct 18th 2000.  It started more like Summer of 99.  Little did I know this guy I'm meeting for the first time, who by the way was holding someones totally adorable baby (maybe that's what did it for me) would one day be my one and only, my better half, my sole mate, my bestest friend and father to my children.  I know now that Jeromy had a secret plan up his sleeve.... while attending college over in Tacoma he'd make sure my parents house was his first stop on his way back to visit each weekend.  Always polite and always willing to give a hand, especially when it came to showin these city folk a thing or two about splittin firewood.  I must say he had my mom quite smitten.  I totally remember a comment made by this smitten mom... "Why don't you go for a guy like that Jeromy?"  Really Mom?  Jeromy? He's just a friend.  Well little did I know he was totally interested, and not in just being my friend.  I maybe not so nicely set him straight.... only to find myself falling for him some months later, however it was a little late.  He had moved on......  Some how, some way this changed something in me... and a couple torturous months later, while being driven home in his truck he told me he had had a change of heart and he'd like to give us a shot.  I can remember that day like it was yesterday (10/18/2000)....  the giddy, face hurts from smiling, fireworks in the sky, best day a girl could have... Walking through the front door and sayin..."Guess what mom? Jeromy asked me to be his girlfriend... and I said YES!"  and so our story began.... 12 years and I still feel like that giddy in love 17 year old girl.  Life has taken us on a wild ride but I wouldn't wanna share the ride with anybody else.
