Cant wait to see these girls cruzin around outside...and not cuz I'm sick of the smell, or the sweet non-stop peepin, or the constant feeder filling... but because they are going to just love their freedom!!!
So some extremely generous friends of ours (whom we LOVE to share our camping adventures with) gifted us their chicken coop. However, we were told the removal would be up to Jeromy and we had to preserve the side of the shed it was attached to. So after a few $$$ trips in fuel we had it ready to transport home...
We were also told that he HAD to pick ALL their strawberries since they were out of town! UMM OKAY!
This was taken just a minute or two after Jeromy had the wall fall on his neck, cuz I was busy rushing to Colten who thought he'd be Awesome and do a back flip on the swing set rings and land on his head... oh man! I was ready to go home after this!
Bummer that the bottom layer of this container had strawberries in it that Colten picked in the morning, then forgot with the lid on... we returned many hours later to find them KINDA edible...
Ben knew where we were keepin the tools... that's actually what he's sayin here too...
"TOOOL?"
Ok so the pieces made it home, it was a miracle... screaming children, Jeromy with a broken neck, mama with a banged up leg... but its here!
Windows and all!
Next day was spent at the man store picking up lumber to build a floor and another wall... ahhh yes Jeromy putting that birthday/Christmas present to good use yet again! Love those practical gifts... haha I sound like my husband!
Ben always eager to help when tools are involved!
Jeromy said something about how a nail gun would be helpful right about now... all I heard was "lalalala" and thought ~ oh just get to hammer'in HAHA!
Ok hilarious right!!!! Hello?
Yep that coop out there will be your new home soon!! you not so adorable anymore chicks with the weird long necks!
Hi Peaches... who might actually be "Peter" BAHAHA!!!
Our beautiful Scarlet... just lovin her eyeliner! You go girl!
Floor complete!
A sweet sight... Told Ben to go feed the strawberries that went to mush to the chickens! He was their favorite!
Apparently they weren't all bad!
It's really comin together!!
Pretty Shnazzy Eh... (wow I sounded like a Canadian Redneck just then!)
This is a lovely shot... I have Chicken poo off-spray from cleaning the walls of the coop covering most of my body... and a nakie Ben Ben!
But goodness with a fresh coat of paint she's gonna be sooooo cute!
