Every now and then you have to take to teaching outdoors...
Leave those stinky workbooks at home and go out and explore in the great outdoors!
Last week we did just that, and it was by far one of my favorite beach trips yet!
I love this beach... always have! Pretty quiet, and usually abundant with amazing treasures and rare up close boat sightings!
We hadn't been out for an outing of this kind in a while so we were all pretty excited!
The water was a majestic green... my camera didn't do it justice... sorry!
Exploring has become much more fun now that Ben has so many words and can actually keep up with me and his brother...
Showing off his balance beam skills!
Precious tiny hands that have grown sooo....
Colten enjoying his wading boots!
Did I mention boat sightings...
Totally boy paradise..
Missin our Papa on our adventure... (he doesn't have cool boots like us though..)
This may have been my first outing with Colten where he didn't ask what he should do... or when we were going to leave... gosh it's rough being 5!
This one sings to me...
As does this one... sighhhh
My boys completely mesmerized by the wake of a boat... hilarious!
Like really... oh yeah that's right, you've never seen a REAL wave... my poor California deprived children!
Simply the best picture EVA!
Colten insisted that we go under the bridge to see some sea snails...
If only he knew that this was only the single most creepiest place to his Mama on the planet... (gaaaa *insert full body shiver here)
I was tough... I showed no fear, like only a Mom of 2 boys can!
He's just lucky I love him... being cute helps too!
What a peaceful, slow, calming, glorious, joy filled kind of morning with the two most amazing little humans....
