Such a busy summer, it's been a whirl wind of craziness and fun... here's a bit of August I was able to capture...
an amazing nest the boys found on the ground
The beginning of the zucchini take over!
Our pond is home to some of the most photogenic frogs... am I right?
How many do you count in this shot... I count 8!
I've officially decided that my entire yard will be covered in Sweet Peas next year.... Their fragrance brings me soooo much joy!
Colten received an amazing hammock on his backpacking trip with Jeromy...
After getting home they had to set it up!
These lego set ups are getting SERIOUS!
Date day hiking..... simply the BEST dates ever!
finding wild blueberries... that's pretty great too!
Huckleberries
Of course no hiking date would be complete without our trail girl Maddie!
It's a beasty!
This "Way" trail to Silver Lakes is a little hairy in spots...
And this is where I got gardia... hahaha totally kidding!
Crazy fungi
Ughhhh Silver Lakes are soooo stunning...
This was our first time down to the second lake...
Here's our picnic spot...
This summer has been filled with many visits to Seaside to visit Great Grandma!
Grandma holds a special place in my heart!
We camped during this visit to Grandmas...
Somehow this happened...
A trip to Costco and boom....
Poor Maddie, she's constantly being tormented by wildlife!
I LOVE this shot!
Fort Stevens happened to be having a Military Event while we were staying in the campground...
We were lucky enough to enjoy an amazing military vehicle parade.
The joy this caused was absolutely priceless
Beach time
Right down the beach from the Peter Iredale
Beach Bliss
Crazy find..
Grandma happened to give us a Coastal Field Guide given to her by Grandpa Pete in the 80s... we were able to find these crazy guys in the book! So fun to tell Grandma about this!
Colten says... "The waves were coming THIS high!"
Nice Shorts!
Sighhhh
The outdoor shower has proven to be the best thing ever!
We showered both boys before leaving for home... (with no sand to clean out of the bottom of the shower)
Heading home... Good Bye Oregon.. See you again soon!
The garden turned out pretty good this year!
I've never grown peppers before!
I officially grew 2 jalapenos this year! Whooop Whooop!
The herbs are taking over!
There ya have it... Some more summer memories, some hiking, some gardening, some camping, some playing in the surf, and lots of family time.
