A great day for a Parade...

The annual Rhododendron Festival hosts a Kiddie parade each year, this year Colten and his preschool class were IN the parade.

Colten had a full day before even getting to the parade,  he drove mom crazy all morning, then played with a friend all afternoon.  The only nap he got was on the way to the parade (about 15 minutes) luckily he was a little trooper and did more waving than I would have ever expected...  He trucked along the parade route with his little buddy Noah totally loving the whole experience.  There were only a few times where he wasn't watching where he was going because he was too busy waving to the parade watchers, (What a ham)

Somehow... Jeromy, Ben and I also were in the parade...  Totally hadn't planned for this, but WHY not... Everyone loves a parade right?  I'm sure people looked at us... wondering "why are they in the parade?"  oh well...  at least we didn't have to search for our son in the people chaos at the end of the parade.
Colten and Noah - waiting for the parade to start
Teacher Rebecca getting some lady bug wings ready
My sweet lil Bee..
A Rhody parade wouldn't be complete without some Rhody's...
Noah getting some antennae adjustments...
Poor little Haydn... just wanted to take a nap... he was not cool with a photo op...
I just love the expression on the little ladybug face... haha
The boys were makin sure sleepy Haydn was ok...too sweet
Ben's first parade... he was a great waver...
Lucky Haydn got a ride in his daddy's arms for the whole parade...

Whoa watch where you're goin buddy...
Still wavin...  Smile boys... haha
Of course Colten spotted a playground at the end of the parade route...
Ben and Leicey... he sure loves that little puppy... even though she likes to nibble on his fingers
It's just the sweetest thing when things like this happen totally randomly...
Haydn to Colten "Let's stomp the leaves"

Needless to say it was a long walk back to the car... but the boys had a blast

We finished off the evening with a delicious, chaotic, messy Mexican dinner at Fiesta.
Cheerios everywhere, some spilled water, a chair tipped over, lots of noise... I'm really not sure if we're allowed back...  Good thing the old couple behind us thought it was all funny and didn't mind...

Hope Jeromy left a good tip...

What a great day for a parade.
