Mom the sun.... it's too bright!

Yeah those where the words coming out of my 4 year olds mouth... as we drove to the park after school today!  You know we don't get much from that bright orb in the sky so when it does decide to show it's self it's pretty intense...  I used as much of that sunlight as possible today... dropped Colten off for school and headed to the park for a couple laps around the trail.  Then decided that we just couldn't possibly let a single ounce of vitamin D be wasted we headed back to the park after picking Colten up...

Little Ben put some miles on them boots today...  No stroller for our second trip to the park :)

Ben thought brother was getting a little crazy on this thing... it was time to get off before he flew off...

 

And as if this wasn't enough outdoor time... we headed home from the park (with all the windows and sunroof open I might add) to meet Jeromy and load our bikes and the little bike trailer and headed out for another adventure...

Colten actually pedaled so Papa didn't have to for a good while...

 

Ben's first time in the trailer... he did great although he would have preferred to not be wearing a helmet and he defiantly let us know we wouldn't be going for a very long ride.  (Again... left the camera in the car... had to use phone... lame!)

 

We ate a picnic dinner in the car on the way to the part store to buy my burb a new headlight and Colten, the poor guy just couldn't make it home... and after about a half hour sleeping in the car in our driveway Jeromy brought him up, and this is where he slept until after 8pm when Jeromy woke him up for teeth brushing and bedtime.  School, Bike riding at the park, AND a bike ride with Papa... he was toast!  Ben on the other hand... well he ate another meal after we got home and ran around the living room screaming his "new" super loud scream... never even once disturbed Colten.

What a perfect day! Some therapeutic trail walking with my favorite little Ben, Beautiful birthday flowers delivered from a friend, Watching my Colten speed around at the park, meeting a "new" mom at the park, making a spontaneous picnic biking trip to not let any of this "spring" like weather slip away, seeing my GIANT sleepin Colten passed out on the floor every time I walked by, looking through our wedding album and reminiscing about that day 9 years ago today when we made our vows official, yep it was a fabulous day 9 years ago, but I'll take a day like today any day of the week!
