Larsen Landing: COME ON SPRING....

It's still pretty chilly most days, but little signs of Spring are literally poppin up everywhere! We found chives already at least 4" tall, my calendula totally thriving and some kale reemerging from stocks we failed to pull at the end of last season. Bulbs are also emerging all over our yard, which makes me particularly excited! I always have something to say about Fall being my favorite time of the year... but I'd like to retract that!

SPRING is way better... after being cold, usually cooped up indoors, and just ready to start enjoying the great outdoors... Spring would naturally have to be my favorite season!

The birds have really started chirpin in the morning and yesterday I actually had sun shinning on my dinning room table at breakfast time. Things are turning from their icky winter colors to the bright vibrant colors of spring! I love how everything comes back to life in Spring... I think we as people do to!

I'm excited to start working in the garden... with my two little helpers! We had thoughts of doing chickens, but have put those plans on hold... not knowing what the future holds for us it would be hard to commit "right now" So this summer we will be focusing on our garden, and plenty of camping and roadtrips! We are hoping to see our beloved Cows soon... Lula and "Two"... wonder if Lula had her baby yet?

He could almost keep up... "Look mom one hand" I heard him yell from behind me... wow we are getting quite confident aren't we!

Not somethin you see everyday... or do you? If you live in town and walk the trail often you've seen this boat washed ashore for nearly a month now... poor guy! We happened to be walking the trail the day after it happened, the guy on the beach in his chest waders trying to make a plan... that didn't involve an expensive fine or recovery requiring help from the marina. Well there she still sits...
