Yeah when the kid says, "Mom go get your camera!" it's never gonna be good!
Can you see him wayyyy up there!
(Bobbie just skip right over this picture...move on!)
That's some tree climbing kid!!
Super incredibly rare family day at Jeromy's work!!
Didn't get to see much but what a huge treat to get to show
off some of it to me and the boys!
Whoa Papa you drive that thing??
We happen to live in such a wonderful place full of artisans and farms and every year Jefferson Land Trust puts together this awesome Farm tour...
We were able to squeeze in a couple farms before heading to our soccer game!
Here we are on a fiber farm... we watched the process of fleece (which is bought from local sheep farmers) being turned to into useable fibers
If doing this makes you "THIS" happy I need to find me some sheep and a spinning wheel!
AMAZING!
Next we headed to the farm that was right next to our soccer field...PERFECT!
Sooooo many chickens.... Pffff and I thought I had a problem!
Oh my word how sweet!
We wont tell Colten that's a meat rabbit...
Why do they have to be SOOOO cute?
Feedin the bunnies!
We sent Papa and Colten off to their soccer game and we continued exploring the farm..we were off to find some turkeys...gobble gobble!
Found them, and even a super friendly farm worker who made an awesome turkey call sound to try and get the turkeys to talk!
Your typical CHEESE face!
My tour guide!
Soccer game was super intense! What a difference a year makes!
It's like REAL soccer now... well kinda!
Go TEAM!
Always the creative one... man creativity is SOOOO messy!
Cute!
Painting!
Ben LOVES painting... he asks to paint multiple times a day...every day!
There just isn't enough paint, paper, or moms that wanna give multiple baths daily!
We had a week of Eric Carle books to plan art projects around..
Colten assembling his bear
This is serious stuff
I love that Ben can participate so much more this year!
Colten LOVES writing on the board!
Our school year started off a little rocky, but we're finding our groove
and really enjoying it (Most days!)
Colten's epic lego creation... this is the picture that we will be sending to the LEGO magazine!
More Eric Carle Art!
So fun!
Glitter even... yep I've lost my marbles!
I'm thinking this officially means something, when you start finding these little guys everywhere! I'm thinkin FALL IS HERE!
At the annual Quilcene Fair
Waiting for a Parade!
We waited and waited!
Ahhh finally...
How cool to watch the parade with your buddy!
The entire Quilcene Fire Department...whoa!
Smokey the Bear!! Later in the day we saw him walking around and Ben informed me that he needed to go give Smokey a hug... so he did! Ben you're awesome!
Boy how times change....used to be over a dozen trucks in the parade, now this was the only one.
Another fun fair day down in the books... can't wait until next year!
We've been sooo fortunate to have so much cousin time...
A bunch of homeschoolers in this bunch... means lots of weekday fun for us while still squeezing some learning in!
Some treasure hunters
I got my stick and don't you think for a second that I'm not taking it home and expecting to keep it in my room!
A STUNNING morning that's for sure!
A late night MAMA's only trip to Goodwill found us many a treasures including this huge pack of bendaroos! Here's Ben modeling one creation!
Cousin time... complete with firewood chores!
Amazing... they had a chain going... GET ER DONE!
Ok didn't know it but ZEN moments do happen when you're a homeschooler...
They're rare... but sometime everything just goes as planned...
Where everything thing looks like it's supposed to according to all those Mommy Bloggers out there, that are always trying to make you look bad!
There were kids doing math together, one kid napping, two girls doing book work on the living room floor and me sewing... it was so extraordinary I had to capture some of it... so I could look back later and say, "See it can be THAT awesome!"
Jeromy wonders why his back hurts...Pffff
Yep it's a framer!
These kids where swing-a-holics... the minute Jeromy gets home from work they've got him talked into giving swing rides!
So fun, we miss the cousins sooooo much we can't wait for the next visit!
So some heart stopping tree climber photography, a rare glimpse of Papa's daily life at work, some empty bottles of paint, a long wait for a short parade, Smokey the bear loves, and some super fun memories with family... yep life is good!
